The 2019 Electric Vehicle Safety Guide was compiled by CAAM, CABIA and the China Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance under the guidance of MIIT and the National Energy Administration. Building on the 2018 edition, it added material including fuel-cell vehicle safety and addressed batteries, vehicles, charging infrastructure and related use and maintenance. The preface records simultaneous Chinese and English publication. It is a useful historical safety resource, rather than a mandatory regulation. References to standards and policies in this edition need to be checked against their current versions before operational use.
