About Us

Your entry point to China’s battery industry

Who we are

The International Cooperation Committee (ICC) is the global arm of the China Automotive Battery Innovation Alliance (CABIA) and its single point of contact for organizations outside China. We help companies, research institutions, universities, and industry associations find the right partners in China's battery value chain and understand the market, standards, and policy that shape it. The ICC sits within the CABIA secretariat. Founded in 2016, the Alliance operates under the guidance of China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).

Accountable to the Alliance

The Alliance manages our finances and reviews our annual work plan before we act on it. We report significant matters to the Alliance Council. That means every commitment we make to a partner is backed by a formal process.

Our Role & Purpose

A neutral convener

For every request, we put forward more than one qualified member organization and leave the comparison to you. We never name a preferred supplier. Our screening method is published in full, including the items we check and the items we cannot.

A two-way gateway

If you are outside China, we are your single point of entry to the battery value chain here, so you do not have to approach companies one at a time. If you are a member, we open the door to overseas partners, markets and regulations. The same team handles both.

A non-profit platform

We do not sell products, and we take no commission on the partnerships that follow. Our funding and accounts sit within the Alliance. We measure our work by the cooperation it creates, not by revenue.

Our network

We have working contacts with industry associations, alliances, companies, universities and research institutes in 50 countries and territories, as of May 2026.
