Who we are

We are the International Cooperation Committee (ICC) of the China Automotive Battery Innovation Alliance (CABIA). Founded in 2016, the Alliance operates under the guidance ofChina’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).Our members cover the whole battery value chain: vehicle manufacturers, cell and pack producers, cathode, anode, electrolyte and separator suppliers, production and testequipment makers, testing and certification centers, recycling centers, universities and research institutes.

How we screen a partner

The same five steps apply to every request. We publish them in full so that you can judge the work before you commission it.

Requirement Breakdown

We work through a fixed question list with you: application, specification, volume, timeline, certification target, destination market and commercial model. The output is a written specification that you confirm.

Candidate Sourcing

Candidates are drawn from the Alliance's member network, from public company and customs records, and from published patent and standards databases. We record where each candidate came from.

Checks

Each candidate is checked against public records on five items: production capacity; qualifications and certificates; export record; patents; published financial information.

Basis of Each Check

Each check is recorded with the source used and the date it was carried out. Where a source gives a range rather than a single figure, we publish the range.

What We Cannot Check

Items that cannot be established from public records are listed separately, with the reason. We do not carry out credit assessment, shareholding or governance investigation, or intellectual-property risk determination.
