CABIA established its Solid-State Battery Branch on 25 January 2022 as the alliance’s eighth branch. The Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences became a council member. The branch had more than 80 initial members. The branch’s stated work covers technology pathways, collaborative research, intelligent manufacturing, standards and cooperation. Its establishment created an organisational platform connecting research institutions and the industrial supply chain around next-generation batteries.
