Joint standards work on evaluating battery materials

CABIA’s testing branch convened more than 20 companies to review progress on three battery-materials test standards.

Comparable materials assessment requires common methods suited to practical battery components. CABIA’s testing branch convened collaboration on this issue.

An online meeting reviewed three projects led by the research institute: cathode-material thermal stability in electrodes, separator porosity and cathode-material elemental content. Battery, vehicle and testing organisations participated.
